Return

Suky (Susanna) lives an extravagant life, buying many expensive things she can in no way afford. Sooner or later, reality comes around. Suky must pay (but can't pay) so the Bailiff comes to get payment or goods. Slippery Suky must escape or pay the consequences! The art suggests the hollowness of Suky, from head to foot, everything is fake!

Name is fake, fake hair (peruke), exaggerated bonnet, empty clothes, fake posterior (bum-roll), fake fortune, fake life.

This is in the book or may be seen in the film "Moll Flanders", by Daniel Defoe, 1722.
